Drama is a popular out of school activity and the department encourages students to participate in school productions including plays, musicals and GCSE performances both as actors and backstage. As well as workshops there are also frequent theatre trips.

The Music Department organises many clubs and encourages students to exercise their talents in school concerts. Their skills are also used to support drama productions and a variety of choral events.

There are many sporting activities run by the PE Department and individuals and teams compete at many different levels both within Oxfordshire and nationally. We are very privileged at Bartholomew to have a state of the art fitness suite on site which is open to the students during lunchtime and after school, when it is run by the leisure company, Nexus. The Sports Hall is just 18 months old and offers a wide range of activities both in school time and beyond. There are at least two, sometimes three activities offered most lunchtimes and after school, so there is certainly no excuse for students not be active!

We are grateful to the huge number of staff who give up many hours in extracurricular activities and are proud of the large number of students that participate.
