Thank you for your interest in Bartholomew School. Our open events take place in the Autumn and we offer tours of the School throughout the year. Please get in touch if you would like to visit.

Bartholomew School Open Evening for prospective Year 7 students and their families

26th & 29th Sept 2023 If your child is moving up to secondary school in September 2024 and you would like to see the School during the day, we warmly invite you to visit us during one of our Open Mornings. These begin at 9.00am promptly and last until 10.30am. No booking required, just arrive at main reception at the start time.

Closing date for applications

Parents complete and return choices form to the Local Authority. This can be done online and you will receive confirmation that your request has been received via email

From April 2024

Once you have accepted your place: 

Parents/carers will receive a welcome letter and enrolment pack with all the necessary documentation to register their child at Bartholomew School for September 2024.

Please ensure this is completed and returned to us as soon as possible.

Prospective Year 7 transition day (2 of 3)

May/June 2024

The Head of Year 7, Pastoral Hub Manager and SENDCo will visit primary schools to begin the process of induction and getting to know your child, answer any quesitons they may have, and form links with students who might benefit from additional support through the transition process.  

The Pastoral Hub Team work alongside our Head of Year 7 and Transition Lead in order to ensure the process of transition is as smooth as possible for each student and their family.

Feedback from parents/carers tells us that these visits are a strength of our transition process and are very much appreciated as a means of allaying any concerns.

In the evening, we invite prospective Year 7 parents and carers to an induction information evening from 6.00pm to 7.00pm in the Main Hall

Open events and visits

If you are considering Bartholomew School for your child we recommend that you visit us to experience for yourself the calm, supportive and respectful learning environment in which your child can flourish. Our Open Evening for Year 6 into 7 is held in September, followed by our Open Mornings. Details of these events will be advertised on our website.

Private Visits

If you would like to visit us at any other time of the year, we offer tours on Mondays starting at 11.20am and lasting for approximately one hour. Please contact the main office (01865 881430) to book.
