Our School App Stay connected on the go...
Every student will study all aspects of Science through Years 7 to 11, with the opportunity to progress onto A2 Level courses in Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology. Our aim is to provide every student with a set of skills and a body of scientific knowledge and concepts to equip them for future life. We also encourage the follow-on into science-based careers as well as Further and Higher Education.
At Key Stage 4 we follow the Gateway Science (A) suite of GCSEs (OCR syllabus). Some students will achieve a Combined Science GCSE (gaining a double grade worth 2 GCSEs). There is also scope for more able, interested students to study Biology, Chemistry and Physics as separate subjects at GCSE, leading to three separate GCSE qualifications.
The Department maintains a YouTube channel which contains videos to support various aspects of the GCSE courses. This resource will continue to be developed with more content being added especially in the build up to examinations.
